Resume Writing, Resume Development, Best Resume, Great Resume

RESUME WRITING

Reach new heights in your career --Advance to new levels -- Obtain the promotion you've deserved

Your resume is often your first impression. It's not enough for it to be good -- it need to be GREAT. You need a GREAT RESUME WRITER.

For even average jobs, it's not uncommon for the hiring manager to have 200, 500, or even more resumes to consider. Wow! How can you stand out in a crowd of that size?

First, you have to understand the hiring manager's dilemma. A stack of 500 resumes is not viewed as an opportunity - it's a problem. The hiring manager thinks "How will I EVER get through all of these resumes?" If each resume takes 10 minutes to read, it would take over two weeks to get through the stack. That's not happening!

The answer is: The first review of your resume will likely be given only 15 to 30 seconds. Yes, SECONDS.

I know how to make you stand out in that brief period of time...in a highly professional way. I know how to get you to the top of the pile for the "Right Job." What is the right job? It's the job you really want. It's the job you are uniquely qualified for.

Dropping a bare hook into a barrel that contains hundreds of fish is not nearly as effective as dropping a well-baited hook into a barrel with only a few fish.

The same is true for your resume. You need to stand out as "THE" candidate. Most resumes do not stand out at all. At best they identify you as "A" candidate.

I spent over a decade of my career writing investment research. Early on, I recognized that the best research in the world is of no value until people read it. My clients were faced with large stacks of research, just as hiring managers are faced with stacks of resumes.

Thus, I spent weeks and weeks learning about graphic design and layout, learning how people read, learning how people absorb information. I applied all of this knowledge to producing better research reports.

Once I'd done that, it became obvious that writing resumes would benefit from the same approach. Thus, I created a proprietary approach to resume writing that is comprised of over 100 details.

Your resume won't look unusual or garish. It will subtly communicate much more information, much more rapidly, much more clearly. You WILL stand out.

The value of WHAT you say in your resume cannot be understated. However, HOW you say it and HOW you display it is just as important. The combination of all 3 is how you stand out from the crowd.

Why is resume writing so hard for most people? Because it's just not something you do very often. Because it is hard to brag about ourselves, even though a resume should be a summary of our very best accomplishments. Because it is easy to be so caught up in our daily work life that we overlook many of the truly important and unique skills that we can bring to an employer.

Your resume is too important to let it be "good enough." If you want to be truly successful in your job search, your professional resume needs to be the best possible. I have a unique background and resume approach that will help you achieve that.

A great, professional resume will help you get a better job and better pay...and faster.

I'd be glad to talk to you about being your resume writter. Give me a call.
